ATC Title: Flutter Wing
Ink, Watercolor and Acrylic

Two Flutter Wing ATCs that encourage the viewer to flutter the butterfly wings. Hold the body side of the butterfly up to a mirror then flutter the wings gently.

The image in the mirror will have a space between the wing halves, which is the thickness of the mirror. In the mirror it will look something like this:

  1. ohhhhh cooooool. These are beeyootiful! Something totally new, that I've not seen before. I love the bright sunny colors. And the flutter thing, holding it up to a mirror? Now that is sweet!

  2. Aloha V.K.

there is an element of magic in butterflies, yes. somehow for me the completion of the butterflies which can only be done in a mirror holds a similar magic. we are doubled but the butterfly becomes complete.... erm... or something like that. it's fun to gently flutter the wings for a moment little sparks of thought drift in the mind about the world around us in those slow wing movement moments - at least that is what i've found. i've actually done several more. the idea just caught me and was fun. good thing, yes - fun.

thanks for stopping in - aloha - Wrick.
