Skinny Alphabet Book Pages

These are pages for my Skinny Alphabet Book. I called it an Artist's ABZ Book. The alphabet goes from A to Z, yes. . . rather than from A to C. . .

Skinny Books are usually 4 x 7 inches.

I chose to work with actual materials as well as Digital Technology.

Among other things my pages so far have included Watercolor, Acrylic, Ink, Digital Scans, Photographs and Digital Drawing/Painting.

This is a long term project in that i'm doing about one page a week. It's part of a challenge in a group where i'm a member.

A random letter is given as well as a technique or some item, or thing to
use within the page.

We are about half way through the alphabet altho i think i may redo my covers.

i like the way the pages are turning out. the way i had intended to bind the book may not have been the best choice so i'm considering some other options at this point.

i'm also having fun.

Mail Art Envelopes

Approximately 5.75 x 4.25 Inches.
Mixed Media.

Acrylic, Ink, Digital Painting/Drawing (Faux Artistamps) and Real Postage Stamps

This is the front and back of two different Mail Art envelopes. I did 3 envelopes together with slight variations for swaps I'm sending out this week.

The 24 cent stamp is one of mine. That postage works only in the USA.

The two "none" postage stamps are digital Painting/Drawing Faux Artistamps that I create specifically for the purpose of embellishing envelopes.

The addresses are intentionally scrambled altho on the actual envelopes they are readable.

This is the first time I've worked
envelopes quite this way. I like what happened a lot. I also learned a few things that i will probably adjust on future envelopes. I wasnt sure if my ink would hold up and show well on the paint. It will so in the future I may not use the stick on labels.

Of course i wasnt sure the stamps would stick well either. They do, so I may make some adjustments and not worry about that aspect in the future either.

The acrylic paint has enough moisture in it that the glue on the store-bought envelopes became tacky. I used easy finger-tearing clear postal tape to wrap around folds a bit just to ensure the envelope(s) wouldnt pop open in damp weather en route to their final destination.

I like the way these came out. I'm hoping to do more.
